Practice Manager : Pauline Stewart

Our Practice Manager Pauline Stewart joined the Practice in 1991 and became Practice Manager in 2002. Pauline has the overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Practice. Her aim is to continue to deliver the high standard of patient care given by the Practice and develop the business as a whole. Practice Nurses

They assist the Doctors in the practice and provide the following services: cervical smears, elderly health checks, new patient medicals and the monitoring of various conditions including diabetes, asthma, HRT and cardiovascular problems. They are also able to offer advice on a wide range of medical issues including anxiety, minor illness and travel abroad.

The Practice has a Health Care Assistant who holds clinics specifically to take blood tests.

District Nurses
Sister Liz Richmond and team provide expert nursing care and advice to patients in their own homes. You can contact them via the surgery.

Health Visitors
Our Health Visitor Team promote good health through education, advice and support. You can contact them via the surgery.

Chiropody
Chiropodists visit the Practice on a weekly basis to see patients requiring care for a wide range of foot problems. The chiropodists can be contacted via the surgery.

Speech Therapy
Mrs Janet Mowbray - Janet is a Speech Therapist who visits the Practice on a Friday to see patients who have been referred for treatment. You can contact Janet on Fridays on 01254 823273

Midwifery
A team of Community Midwives are attached to the Practice and hold clinics at Whalley Surgery on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. To make an appointment telephone 01254 823273

Office Staff

The dispensary team deal with all the requests for repeat prescriptions and dispense drugs to patients who live in our dispensary area. They also work closely with local chemists in arranging prescriptions for home delivery to patients.

The reception team deal with all appointments, requests for home visits, test results and telephone queries etc.

The administration team are responsible for keeping records up to date, referring patients to hospital, dealing with incoming hospital letters, insurance form requests, arranging clinics and immunisations etc.

Jennifer Gee works as a Receptionist/Dispenser at our branch surgery at Sabden. Jennifer is available to deal with any queries regarding appointments, home visits, test results etc. and also processes any requests for repeat prescriptions and dispenses the drugs ready for patients to collect.
